Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026  ·  Effective immediately upon account creation

Welcome to McMindmap. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using McMindmap in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Description of Service

McMindmap is a knowledge management platform, available in the browser and as a desktop application, that lets you create, organize, link, and share mind maps and topics. Features include:

McMindmap is currently in beta. Features may change, and parts of the service may be unavailable from time to time.

3. User Accounts

You must authenticate via a supported OAuth provider (Google, Apple, GitHub, LinkedIn, or Discord) to use McMindmap. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to share your session or allow unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use McMindmap to:

5. Intellectual Property

Your content stays yours. You retain ownership of everything you create in McMindmap — mindmaps, topics, text, and uploaded files.

What we may do with it, so the service can work. You grant McMindmap a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, transmit, back up, and process your content — including private content — strictly to the extent needed to operate the service for you: saving and syncing your work across your devices, rendering it in the editor and the graph, generating previews, and searching it on your behalf.

What we will not do with it. We do not publish, sell, or share your private content with third parties, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

Content you publish. By making a mindmap public, you additionally grant McMindmap a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and serve that content to others as part of the service. Making it private again withdraws that permission for the future.

How long these permissions last. Only as long as you keep the content in McMindmap. Delete a topic, a mindmap, or your account, and the corresponding license ends — see section 6.

The McMindmap platform, logo, and software are owned by McMindmap and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

McMindmap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from data loss. Use the service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, McMindmap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or profits.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
